Got Books? Need Books? Need to know what you're friends are reading? Want to talk about your favorite (or not so favorite) books? Suggestions, discussions, ideas, greetings--all are welcome here. Here are the Ground Rules:
Be polite
Participate actively
Be creative
Use respectful language!
I'll get the ball rolling by suggesting a great read for just about anyone: "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie," by Alan Bradley. Verrry British, very feisty, very much a mystery with strong characters who jump out at you and keep you reading to the end. This book has suspense, humor, and many surprises. The vocabulary makes this a book that advanced readers will love, but stay with it, casual readers--you'll be surprised how the story moves you along and pulls you in! If you love mysteries in the tradition of Agatha Christie, Lemony Snicket, or even Nancy Drew, give "The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie," a try!
